Rocker Arm Cover Installation Instructions |
Note: This installation was done on a 2004 Cadillac Escalade |
Remove engine beauty covers by pulling away from the fuel rails. |

Label coil & coil wire positions.
Disconnect spark plug wires.
Unclip large grey/white electrical connector from coil lead wires.
Remove coil bracket from rocker covers.

Remove coils and coil harness from bracket. |
|

Remove valve covers. |

Install new gaskets
into
Abear cover bases.
|
 |
Install base sections of Abear covers onto cylinder heads with included bolts, flat washers and lock washers.

 |
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. Refer to factory torque specs for correct bolt torque. |
Install coils into Abear covers (some coils may need to be flipped upside down.)

Reconnect coil lead wires to coils in appropriate order.
Reconnect spark plug wires.
Reconnect large electrical connector.

Install Abear lids on top of base sections.

 |
Connect PCV lines to Abear covers where appropriate. Some vehicles require the stock PCV hardlines be replaced with flexible 3/8" vacuum line (not included.)

Start engine and check for proper idle. Poor idling or lack of starting is typically caused by incorrect coil lead wire attachment. Also check for vacuum and oil leaks. If leaks are present, check bolt torque and vacuum line connections. |
